Geek App Lab (“we”, “our”, or “us”) built the EMI Calculator – Loan Planner app (the “App”) as a free Android application. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our App.

By using the App, you agree to the terms described in this Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of this policy, please discontinue use of the App.

2. About the App

EMI Calculator – Loan Planner is a fully offline financial calculator app. All loan calculations are performed locally on your device. The App does not require an account, login, or any personal information to function.

The App does not:

  • Collect your name, email, phone number, or any personally identifiable information
  • Access your contacts, camera, microphone, or location
  • Store your financial data on any server
  • Share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information You Enter

Any loan amounts, interest rates, or tenure values you enter into the App are used solely to perform calculations. This data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party.

3.2 Automatically Collected Usage Data (Firebase Analytics)

We use Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized, aggregated usage data to help us understand how the App is used and to improve the user experience. This data may include:

  • App open and session events
  • Screen views and feature interactions
  • Device type, operating system version, and app version
  • Crash reports and performance data
  • Country/region (not precise location)

This data is collected anonymously and cannot be used to personally identify you. It is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

We do not store any personal data on our servers. Any usage analytics collected through Firebase are retained according to Google’s data retention policies. Aggregated analytics data may be retained for up to 14 months as configured in Firebase.

The App does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. Since the App collects no personal data, it is safe for use by all age groups. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us immediately.

7. Data Security

We take the security of your information seriously. Since the App operates entirely offline and does not collect personal data, there is minimal data security risk. Firebase Analytics data is transmitted securely over HTTPS and managed by Google’s secure infrastructure.

8. Your Rights & Choices

You have the following rights and choices regarding your data:

  • Opt out of Firebase Analytics by adjusting your device’s advertising settings or using the “Opt out of Ads Personalization” setting on your Android device.
  • Clear app data at any time through your Android device settings (Settings → Apps → EMI Calculator → Clear Data).
  • Uninstall the App at any time to stop all data collection.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the “Effective Date” at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, through an in-app notification.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
